We didn't build a full-featured design editor, for customization, and didn't widened the ICP too early before the core segment was proven. We also prioritized speed of output over creative control, because the SME owners needed reliable content generation more than a professional design editor workflow. That tradeoff made the product easier to adopt and easier to understand.
